Confined Space - Grain Bin Entry
The Grain Safety program is intended for workers and managers in the grain industry. This includes grain elevators, farm operators and workers, grain haulers, and agriculture business owners. The major focus of the program is on safety in confined space work areas. It is presented by our partner staff at the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will:
  • Be able to identify hazards associated with confined space work in the grain industry
  • Understand the process for confined space entry and lock out procedures
  • Be able to discuss the confined space housekeeping procedures involved in grain handling
  • Know where to look for OSHA references and resources related to confined space entry in the grain industry
  • This program works well as an adjunct to the Prevention of Grain Fires and Explosions program.

      

 

Confined Space - Manure Pit Entry
The Manure Pit Safety Program is intended for workers and managers in agriculture. This includes Pumping companies, farm operators and workers and agriculture business owners. The major focus of the program is safety in confined space work areas. At the conclusion of this webinar participants will be able to:
  • Be able to identify hazards associated with confined space work
  • Understand the process for confined space entry and lock out procedures
  • Know where to locate OSHA references and resources related to confined space entry in the confinement industry.

 

  

Confined Space - Grain Safety -  Prevention of Grain Dust Fires & Explosions
Prevention of Grain Dust Fires & Explosions is intended for fire and rescue personnel, grain industry workers and managers, as well as farmers and ranchers who harvest or store grain. It is presented by our partner staff at the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
  • Utilize proper housekeeping maintenance for dust
  • Describe dust explosions and the dust deflagration process
  • Identify basic considerations used in potential dust hazard analysis
  • Describe prevention and mitigation techniques used to control combustible dust hazards
  • This program works well as an adjunct to the Grain Safety program.

 

 

     
Fall Prevention in Agriculture

This presentation on Fall Prevention for Agricultural Producers is designed for workers and management personnel in production agriculture. It can be applied to the family farm, ranch population, small agriculture business or larger work force in the agricultural industry.

 

At the end of this one hour training program, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate between same level falls and elevated falls
  • Describe the hierarchy of hazard controls
  • Select proper fall protection systems
  • Increase their knowledge of rescue and training techniques related to fall hazards.
